Codes of practice and regulations

Before filming we had to think about locations we want to record our film at so we came up with locations which were a house, a field, and street. Before we film at these locations we need to permission from the owners so we came up someone’s house to use so we asked them. With the field we didn’t need permission because the field is available for anyone to go to and do what they want, it is a public area.

With music there are copyright laws and we need permission to use the music. However, this film is a student film so there shouldn’t be a problem but if it was a major film we would have to ask the owner’s permission if we could use the music in our short film. In our short film the only sound effects we will use is screaming and sounds of when something is thrown.#

There are also picture use laws and we need permission to use the images. However, this is only a student film, so we don't think we need permission, but if it was a feature or major film we needed  have to ask the owner to see if we can use it. In the short film we are going to use many images as a flash images.

there are health and safety issues in the short films such as a can will be thrown across a room making it look like it was thrown through a window so we will have to be careful we have to aim it somewhere that no-one will get hurt.

  1. Initial script, proposal and detailed talent list have been posted early on. Meetings have been logged with great detail and there is an actual budget for the production. I don’t understand the call sheet posted, maybe redo this and post the word document (convert to Jpeg). Codes of practice have been considered. Missing work: industry budget, production schedule, proper call sheet, risk assessment, recce, storyboard and or a list of shots.
