script writing research task 2 c

I started to write this script while reading the manga high school of the dead,this manga helped influence my script because of some of it concepts, for example the fact the zombies relied on sounds rather than sight, which i then added to my plot.

the manga revolves around 4-5 high school students (around the ages of my two characters jack and Dante) but rather than completely steal the plot and content i decided to go with two main characters and more zombies. the anime adaptation to high school of the dead is aimed at a mature audience from the ages of 16-45 and that was the target audience i aimed for when writing my script, this can be seen with the amount of swearing and blood used in our final product, this means i had to make my characters a decent age otherwise it wouldn't have the right affect on our audience

i wanted to make the zombies like the ones in the picture above, they're skin discoloured, and still wearing regular but torn clothes, this effect didn't work in our actual shoot but we worked around it and i later removed it from our script. the one thing i decided to keep about these zombies was the fact they couldn't see and relied completely on sound.
